Power Of The Daleks SYNOPSIS:

The newly regenerated Doctor is watched with amazement by Ben and Polly who believe him to be an impostor. Upon landing on the planet Vulcan, the Doctor goes off to explore and sees a man murdered. The Doctor takes the dead man's credentials and assumes his identity when he Ben and Polly are escorted back to the Vulcan colony by Bragen the security chief.

There the lead scientist Lesterson has discovered a crashed Dalek capsule and hides the three inert Daleks within it hoping to reactivate them. The examiner was supposed to arrive to look into a rebel uprising but Governor Hensell dismisses needing the Doctor's help and has his deputy tried and stripped of his role for summoning an examiner and sabotaging communications.

Lesterson has managed to reactivate the Daleks in secret to the Doctor's dismay and he and his companions are exposed and imprisoned as impostors. The disarmed daleks claim to be the humans servants but despite the Doctor's warnings they are secretly breeding a new army of daleks which Leseterson can't control that will kill Braden's rebels and colony officials alike unless stopped.
